AI in sales
For salespeople and sales managers. Less time writing and searching, more time talking to customers. Plus the part usually missing from sales training: AI in the CRM and the data hygiene without which no AI feature works.
What we practise
Preparing for a call
Facts about the customer’s company, industry and contact, questions for the meeting, likely objections and answers. Ten minutes instead of an hour of browsing.
Emails and replies to enquiries
A reply to a request for quote, a follow-up, a thank-you after a meeting. In your company’s voice, based on your best emails, not templates from the internet.
Proposals
From a meeting note and a price list to a draft proposal in your layout. AI writes, the salesperson checks the numbers and the promises.
Meeting notes and summaries
From a recording or loose notes: decisions, next steps, who does what. Ready to paste into the CRM.
AI in the CRM
What the AI features in Salesforce (Agentforce, Einstein) and other CRMs can do, which need a licence and which you already have. Without the vendor’s slide-deck promises.
Data hygiene
Why AI connected to a CRM with empty fields and duplicates gives bad answers. What to tidy up first. For Salesforce: a free pre-AI audit.
An assistant connected to the CRM
“What do we know about this company before the meeting?” asked of an assistant that reads the CRM through MCP, on a separate read-only account. Shown live.
What not to paste
Customer contact details, commercial terms, contracts. How to work on specifics without sending them where they should not go.
Example exercises
A meeting in an hour
Everyone picks a real customer from next week’s calendar. Task: a one-page pre-meeting brief with questions and objections. Then a review: what is useful, what AI made up.
Your voice, not the internet’s
A salesperson’s three best emails as the model. AI writes a reply to a new enquiry in that voice. We compare it with the version without the model.
From note to proposal
A meeting note plus a price list. AI assembles a draft proposal in your layout, the salesperson checks every number.
A summary for the CRM
A recording or notes from a call into CRM fields: stage, next steps, date. We check that nothing was lost and nothing was added.
A question to the CRM
An assistant connected to a copy of the CRM data answers “which opportunities have had no activity for 30 days”. Participants check the result against a report.
Who it is for
- A sales team that spends more time writing than talking to customers.
- A sales manager who wants call notes to actually end up in the CRM.
- A company with Salesforce or another CRM that hears about AI from the vendor and does not know what makes sense.
- Salespeople who quietly use ChatGPT and paste customer data into it.
What you take away
- A set of prompts: meeting preparation, reply to an enquiry, proposal, call summary. Adapted to your voice in the workshop.
- A list of CRM fields to tidy up before you switch on anything AI-related.
- Rules for working with customer data in AI tools.
- An assessment of the AI features in your CRM: what you already have, what needs a licence, what can be done more cheaply.
- A list of ideas to implement rated “yourselves” or “developer”, such as an assistant connected to the CRM or a weekly pipeline report.
- A certificate, 30 days of questions by email, a session after a month.
Questions about this module
We have Salesforce. Is this Agentforce training?
No, it is training in how a salesperson works with AI. I cover Agentforce and Einstein as one option, with honest information about licences. Implementing AI in Salesforce is a separate service on the Salesforce site, and a free permissions audit is worth doing first.
We use a different CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, our own).
The principles are the same: clean data, a separate account for AI, read-only to begin with. Before the training I check what your CRM offers and whether it can be connected to an assistant.
Will AI write emails for the salespeople?
Drafts, yes; sending, no. In the workshop we practise getting a draft in the company’s voice in a minute and what to check before it goes to the customer.
Will non-technical salespeople cope?
Yes, the module needs no technical knowledge. The part about connecting an assistant to the CRM is demonstrated by me; the setup is done by your technical person or by me after the training.
Your staff already use AI. Let’s teach them to do it well and safely.
Tell me the department and the headcount. I reply within one business day with a proposed programme.
Ask about training for your team
Tell me the department and the headcount. I reply within one business day with questions or straight away with a proposed programme. Quoted after a call, depending on format and headcount.
