Safe AI at work
The shared opening of every training, 1–1.5 hours. Afterwards everyone on the team knows what can go into a chat, what cannot, how to check results and why a business account differs from a personal one. You keep a one-page set of rules that management can adopt.
What we practise
What AI does well and where it makes things up
A language model does not know, it predicts. I show live what an invented regulation, article number or quote looks like, and how to catch it in a minute.
How to check results
The source, a second question, a calculation on the side, a comparison with the document. The habit that separates the person who gains from AI from the one who signs off its mistakes.
What you may paste, what you may not
Personal data, customer data, trade secrets, contracts, passwords. One simple rule to remember and a list of cases from the participants’ own work.
Personal versus business accounts
How the terms of a free account differ from a business plan: training on your data, chat history, an administrator, switching accounts off when someone leaves.
Anonymisation, live
How to swap a customer’s details for placeholders in 30 seconds and get the same quality of answer. An exercise on your own document.
Writing prompts
Context, example, expected format, refining the output. No magic: four elements that cover most cases.
AI usage rules for the company
One page, to adapt and have management adopt: which tools, on which accounts, what data, who is responsible for the result.
AI Act, Article 4
Since 2 February 2025, companies using AI systems must ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among staff. What that means in practice for a small company and what is worth documenting. More in the article.
Example exercises
Catch the fabrication
Participants ask AI for a legal basis or figures from their own industry, then check it at the source. Usually at least one answer in the group is made up.
The same email, two accounts
We compare the settings of a personal account and a business plan: what happens to the content, who can see it, whether it can be deleted.
Anonymise and paste
A real customer email (from your inbox) turned into a version without personal data, then used to draft a reply.
One prompt, four versions
The same task with no context, with context, with an example and with a format. Participants see where the difference in quality comes from.
Who it is for
- Everyone attending any other module: this is the shared start.
- A company where staff already use ChatGPT on personal accounts.
- Management that wants AI usage rules in writing rather than in guesswork.
- A company that wants to document what it has done about Article 4 of the AI Act.
What you take away
- A template of AI usage rules for the company, adapted in the workshop to your tools.
- A “may / may not” list with examples from your own work.
- A four-step prompt pattern on one sheet.
- A checklist for verifying AI output.
- A certificate of attendance with the programme, useful as part of your Article 4 documentation.
- Questions to ask a vendor before you sign up to a business plan.
Questions about this module
Can this module be skipped?
No. It is the shared start of every training, including for technical people. It takes an hour to an hour and a half and prevents problems that cost far more later.
Does this module make us compliant with Article 4?
The provision asks for a “sufficient level of AI literacy” among people who operate AI systems, with no checklist. A training with a programme and certificates is a reasonable part of that documentation. Whether it is enough in your situation is worth confirming with a lawyer.
We are in a regulated sector (accountancy, legal, healthcare).
Then I extend this module: professional secrecy, data processing agreements, what may go into an external tool at all. Mention it in the form.
Do you scare people?
No. The aim is for people to use AI more after the training, not less, just on the right account and with the habit of checking.
Do we need business accounts before the training?
Not for the workshop itself; I show the difference live. For working on company data afterwards, yes. I help you choose a plan; I do not sell licences.
Your staff already use AI. Let’s teach them to do it well and safely.
Tell me the department and the headcount. I reply within one business day with a proposed programme.
Ask about training for your team
Tell me the department and the headcount. I reply within one business day with questions or straight away with a proposed programme. Quoted after a call, depending on format and headcount.
